Default Tinted plastic film

My EVIC display is too bright at night with display set to full dim. Trying to find some 8 to 12 mil thick smoke colored film to cover it with.

I think that window tint film would be too thin. Maybe not.

Any ideas?

Just curious - why is thickness a concern?

Good question. I dunno if it needs to be except that:

1. OEM protective films on electronic gadget screens are usually about 10mil

2. Some of my ideas don't work out as envisioned and I thought that thicker would be easier to remove

Most people complain about the chrome around the shifter, first time I heard the evic too bright, can't it be like almostturned off, mine can get pretty dim with radio controls??
