Default Leather Interior Dash Pad Seam Crooked

I noticed that the seam stitching on the dash of my new truck has a hump in it down near the passenger end, anyone else noticed any thing like that in theirs? Any ideas how much is involved with changing the dash pad? I wonder if it's worth getting changed or just create a lot of other problems.

My 2010 has the same problem in the same location. It's not bothering me much at the time, maybe in the future I'll look at getting it replaced.

here is a pic, from what I found out it's a big job to replace it. It looks worse than the pic shows.

Unless Dodge is gonna replace it for free, I would live with it. There's so many other qualities that the 09-10 Ram 1500 has that the little things that are not quite right don't bother me at all. If it was in a really expensive automobile, it would be unacceptable though..................................Kevin.

Uh.... $40k isn't really expensive?

It's under warranty. Take it back and make them replace the dash pad. There is no reason to deal with any issue on a brand new vehicle. I've had my truck for 5 months now, and I have a whole slew of things written down to have them address on my next dealer visit. LOTS of squeaks and rattles. America just can't ever seem to get it right when it comes to fit & finish.

I agree 40K plus tax I expect perfection, I have several outstanding issues on this one and it's 3 weeks old.

None of us paid 40K and if you did you deserve a warped dash. I have an early build and an well not experiencing all these problems other than not having a factory locking tailgate(which I took care of myself for 100 bucks and now it locks with the doors) and not having and indicator when I am in 4cyl mode none of the problems other than the recalls, rrt's and TSB's I am happy. Now a change of radio and addition of uconnect was an issue not a truck issue a dealer or should I say 2 dealer problem of lack of training. But the Hemi engine noise...not there...nor any vibration or shake on the highway, I am even beginning to like the Goodyear HP's for now anyway. We shall see. I hope there are some of those 168 dollar alloy wheels left when I have the money.
