Hello i am new in the forum have 2009 ram slt got two messages on the dashboard one for low pressure tires i check all four tires and they look fine to me but somebody told me that the spare tire also gives a reading is this true ? the other message is for engine oil change in only have 4000 kms(2486 miles) what do you recomend the oil change at 5000km or 10000km(6215miles) thanks in advance i am from the north of mexico.
No, it does not monitor the spare. Did you visually check them or put a gauge on them? Visually will not work. Should have around 35psi in them. Mine had 37 in them when I picked up the truck. I did pick up a screw a while back. The breaking point for the tire low light seems to be about 28-30psi. Another thought, I know the cold is reaching farily far south. Cooler weather means tire pressure is lower. Once the tires heat up from driving or just warmer weather it may go away. But the light probably means you are close and should just add some air anyhow.
Oil, depends on your driving habbits as to when the light comes on. Mine has come on twice, once at 5400 and once at 11K (miles). I changed at 5 and 10 and will continue the 5K change (with syn).

My low pressure light has been coming on every morning since the temps started dropping. (Between -5 and -20 F)
Only time I've ever seen the oil change light is right at 2500 miles the first time. Been changing it at between 3000-4000 since then but no lights. (I assume the dealer is reseting it each time)

You are correct two less pounds on right front tire message is gone now
Funny my truck the tires were at the very lowest point before the light would come on, it was part of the reason I thought this truck was so smooth!. Then the next morning light on..........tires had 29 lbs. So up to 35 they went. You can really feel 5 lbs when your back if f ed up.
