Rizam, I heard that the 3gen boxes will work in the crew cab but not the quad cab. How do you like the fox box? I was told they are built well and sound great.

Up till about 2005 I had competed in hundreds of car stereo competitions in the northeast, I have used everything from MDF, to ABS to Fiberglass and in my opinion there is NO reason to waste your time messing with fiberglass to achieve the same results as the Fox Box. Mr. Fox has designed the boxes to have the maximum airspace possible and has done an OUTSTANDING job. No its not gonna hit 150DB but it sounds GREAT! And best of all it doesnt smell. Everyone that uses fiberglass forgets to mention the smell that sticks around for MONTHS!!!

Yea the smell will knock you on your a**! I was lucky cause I built my box then went to spain for a month for work. After I built my box I found out about the fox box. For the price you can't beat it. Building my box was a royal pain in the ***! I am glad I built it thought cause I got maximum airspace and it hits low/ with a little bit of polyfil.

Not sure if I should just go with a foxbox or go with a box that I found in an audio store. My gut is tellin me foxbox since I read so many good things about it.

Just a side note, can someone post a link to FoxBox, I can't seem to find anything online... But honestly, if you can find a pre-made box, with a affordable price (in your budget) then why not, saves screwing around, and possibly spilling the resin on your carpet, especially if this is your first time with fiberglass..

I went to FoxAcoustics.com. He only lists 2 enclosures for Dodge. One for Megacab, and one for Quad cab. And he says he has removed the Quad cab box from the website until he is caught up on backorders.

It also says he'll be caught and the Quad cab boxes will be available for ordering again around Jan 4th...

Does anybody know of a replacement speaker or speaker and enclosure that will just replace the sub in the premium sound system (aka Alpine) setup in a '09 Crew Cab? I may replace my doors, dash, and sub speakers. But, I don't want to lose the storage space under the driver's side back seat.

Funny, I was looking over the web site and it listed as you said only the mega cab for the Dodges. So I started looking at pictures of the other boxes for other trucks and when I came back to the Dodge section there's the sub box for the Quad and Crews!

If you get the fatmat make sure you get the thicker brand, it took my about 90 sq ft to do the inside of a 72 chevy and I didn't do the roof, doors(2) complete, floor and back wall and firewall. So you might want to buy 2 rolls ..cost me 100 bucks. Nice and easy to work with.
