Default Looking for EZDown replacement part

I took the EZDown off of my last truck when I took it back to the Dealer (lemon). So now I'm putting it on my new truck and notice I forgot to take off the Cable Bolt from the last truck. So I go to the EZDown web page and find a link for "Looking for replacement parts for your EZDown Kit?" Call them up to order a new bolt and guess what - They don't sell replacement parts. Told me to contact the dealer I bought it from and they MAY have a bolt for me. I tried to explain that I bought in on the web over a year ago and don't remember who I purchased it from. Bottom line is they won't help me. So does anybody know where I can get a new Cable Bolt or does somebody have one thay are willing to part with?

Wow, that's odd. I know of others that got replacment parts direct.

I would try 877-EZDOWN3 or EZDown@us.stabilus.com .

When I called I received all my parts for a complete install minus the piston. You can't call and say you forgot it on the other truck. First you say that the EZ down is less than a year old and that the bolt had snapped off.

I called them and sent an email to the above prior to posting here. I wasn't looking for a free part, was willing to pay for it but they said no. I'll try rigging something up, but with **** poor customer relations I won't be buying from them anymore. They loose a customer over a bolt that probably costs them a dollar or two go figure.

Default which EZ Down should I buy?

So you guys got me interested in adding one of these kits to my tail gate. But now I'm confused and not sure which one I should buy.

Here are the two I was looking at.
http://www.autobarn.net/ezdown-tailg...te=google_base
http://www.realtruck.com/dee_zee_ez_...1480P1C1T.html

One only has one arm and the other has two. One would think that 2 EZ down arms would be better then just 1, but Ive never used these and have no idea which one would be recommended.

Any advice?

The Dee Zee one looks just like the Mopar one I got. It works just fine with just one damper.

I'm not sure I'm following what you're saying here, both looked the same and, in fact, I couldn't even get the Dee Zee site to show me anything for a Dodge, let alone a 2009/10. Since, from what I saw on the websites you listed here, they look the same to me, I'd go for the cheaper one.

Oops, now I see. Actually it's the Autobarn one that seems to indicate that there are 2 dampers, but if it's an EZ Down, I think it'll only come with 1 damper for 1 side of the tailgate.

All due respect, and I hate very much being treated like they are treating you, but from their point of view, what else are you going to buy from them as a customer? It seems they aren't interested in good word of mouth in your case, which is all the more shame on them. I can't otherwise account for their p*ss-poor attitude.

I paid $51 to get my Mopar one from here:

http://www.dodgechryslerparts.com/pr...oducts_id=2106

It says it's for 2002 - 2008, but it works fine on my 2009.

I'm considering this source due to free shipping and no sales tax.
