I just read something i never heard of, a k & n filter can ruin a mass air flow sensor? maybe it is due to some type of user error but has anyone heard this?

As a profesional auto tech i havent seen a k & n ruin a mass airflow sensor....but i have on numerouse occasions seen the oil from it get to the sensor and must simply be cleaned every couple months or so....depending on mileage driven per month....wont affect a hemi because no mass air sensor.....and cleaning consist of holding sensor upright and spaying off element with brake clean....not rocket science

Default testing

did you read the test? interesting to see that yes the flow is better but it also lets in more dirt as a product of better flow.
