THANKS to everyone with their good replies. Sorry I tapped the wrong forum, just getting this thing a few months ago I grabbed the 4th Gen. Guess I am stuck with this. As for the pony up for the diesel, ya ready - I traded in an 08 megacab with the CTD and it's making me sick every time I think about it! Wife said - we need to save some money - so off I went thinking YEA, no more particulate filter burn off, and I get a new life time power train warranty, AND save $100 a month on the note. Since it's a Laramie I have all the nice stuff the CTD didn't, but it sure won't pull like that Cummins. Again, great forum and good input - I appreciate it. ed

I don't believe that the 3/4 ton Ram has MDS. Plus, 800 pounds will make a HUGE difference in your MPG. Also, you have a heavy duty transmission and a heavy duty rear end sapping all your economy. Should have gone for the diesel in a 3/4 ton or bigger.

i get 11 mpg in a 1500... so get over it lol
