Strange "Bump" felt when coming to a full stop
"Flash" is just the term used instead of saying reprogramming the vehicle computer systems. It is typicaly applied when minor updates in the program are needed to fix minor issues or to actually retune a cars performance characteristics. It generally applies to all cars, automatic or stick. Your dealer will be able to reflash your system based on need from time to time.
there are old threads on this, it's something loose. Supposed to be part of the break in period i guess because everyone agreed that it seemed to have gone away

Its call 'bump stop' Its being caused by torque converter dropping out due to the 500 rpm idle that it drops into too quickly. If it idles at 650 like with ac or some other accessories on it won't do it.A FLASH did not fix mine. When its at 500 rpm you can turn steering wheel and it senses load and will bump up to 650.Bump stop would not occur at 650 idle speed but the 500 and a somewhat fast stop and rpm drop off too far and you get that feel like another vehicle hit you in the rear.

So are you saying that it is normal? Did you do anything to correct it, or have you just decided to deal with it? Like I said, I have pretty much gotten accustomed to it. My truck has just over 4k on it.

Thanks for the thread, but reading it sounds like it went away with some and not for others. I thought mine had gone away too, but apparently its still around. No one in that thread was really able to pinpoint the problem.
