How many of you out there have trucks that use (burn) Oil?
I am using the recommended 5w20 in my '09 5.7. I know it's on the thin side. I used a little over a pint in the last 3,000 miles. How does this stack up with the rest of you guys? Does ur trucks use less or more oil?
The last two Fords I had use a lot more than that.
I have had trucks that didn't use any.

3,000km on my new truck so far and it hasnt used anything yet. 5w20 mobil 1 syn put in when I bought it.

 

i changed my oil at 500 miles with mobil 1 synth. and at 3000 miles it had used a quart. dealer told me it was normal.

 

10500 miles so far w/ three oil changes. no oil used btw changes so far.
a pint btw changes is going to be "normal" by most standards

 

Im at 10k and ran the last oil for 7k and never really burned any. Maybe your rings never seated properly during the break in period.
