Will also need 3 more #20 torx screws just like the 2 that hold the existing pocket to the dash. 2 hold the controller to the bezel and 1 supports the back of the controller.

Took me about 15 minutes to install. the connectors are already there on a 2010 and plug right in.

So does it actually work ? I've been reading that a flash is required, and Dodge will not reflash for this, it has to be factory installed.. Seems it's 50/50 on if it works or not..

Don't leave us hanging. Is it working properly? Did you have to have it dealer scanned? Does it show up in your center display like they do when stock?

I paid $117, delivered, for my Prodigy, with the Dodge-specific cable for a plug-and-play install.

That was from Amazon. For the P3, it would have been $160. If I could have gotten the P3 for $15 more, I might have done, just 'cause it looks cooler. But not $43 worth cooler.

If your dealer sold you a P3 for $137 or less, with tax, etc., I reckon you did alright!

Or you could of gotten the newer Hayes G2 tri axis controller, complete with harness, for $111.10 delivered from Southwest Wheel. It is similar to the P3 only it uses 3 axis control vs the P3 and Prodigy which only use 1 axis.

I think we could go on and on one upping the controller but my point was the p3 is only a small bit more expensive and a lot easier to ework with, it even has a function to assist in backing up. It is also very very easy to adjust.

As for all of the axises(sp?) I am not sure how many are warranted kind of like going from 4 buttons on the fly of your jeans to 8, anyhow the p3 is nice and not one RV dealer I went to was confident in the Hayes when I asked so I wient with the p3.

I'd take the P3 also over the Prodigy. All 3 are self leveling, easy to setup and install, and work in reverse. Doesn't really do anything to ease backing up though.

Maybe you 2009 guys can........
Go to *********.com and look at my post under 4th Gen the 2010 Trailer Brake Control Harness. This may be helpful. You should have all the wires there, just have to put on some spade terminals to connect to the controller.

Oh by the way, mine is an ST, not an SXT with a display. All I have is a gas gauge, temp gauge and idiot lights.

AGAIN PLEASE .. i can't seem to find a direct answer as to WHY the OEM brake controller can NOT be easily retrofitted to the 2009 Rams.

I have a 3-2009 build date 1500 Ram. Why exactly can't i install the factory brake controller in my truck ? .. specific details please.

Thank you.
