Default Trailer Brake Controler

I am looking at getting a 2010 Dodge 1500. All of the ones on the dealers lot here and anywhere near me do not have the built in trailer brake controler. Is this something that can be added? I saw a thread saying it could not be retorfitted to the 2009 but no mention as too if you can add one to the 2010?

I will be checking with the dealer on Monday, just wondering if anyone knows allready.

You can't add it to the 2010, has to be factory installed.

Default p3

i have the p3, dont get the prodigy as the p3 is the prodigy plus.....the concept is the same but the p3 is easier to use as i n place of a basic lcd display with codes it has a digital readout. only problem is that there is not a lot of room to mount it.

Why spend the extra money? I look at them both and bought the Prodigy. Works fine. Cheaper. I don't need to look at it, so I had no reason to spend an extra $50 for a LCD display with a fancy readout.

difference was a lot less than that, 10-20, actually the dealer for the price said they would give me either but the list is 10-20 where i saw it.

Default Just added factory brake controller

I just bought and installed the factory brake controller to my 2010 Ram 1500 Quad Cab.

Controller P/N 56029431AE, $156.20
Black Bezel P/N 1EB13XDVAA, $10.40
( other colors are different P/N's)

Will also need 3 more #20 torx screws just like the 2 that hold the existing pocket to the dash. 2 hold the controller to the bezel and 1 supports the back of the controller.

Took me about 15 minutes to install. the connectors are already there on a 2010 and plug right in.

Thanks for the info, I will definately be checking in to that if this all goes through. I am heading to the dealership today to see if we can make a deal.
