Default 2010 Ram 1500 with grinding noise

Just received my new 2010 Ram 1500 TRX couple of days ago. Sometimes when i accelerate fast, i hear a grinding noise somewhere in the rear. The grinding lasts as long as you dont release the gas. This happened to me like 10 times. I've tried to show it to the mechanics at my dealership, but i can't reproduce it anymore. Just wondering if anyone experiences something similar

I also get a noise when i drive over 10km/h and switch the 2x4 to 4x4 High. It's that same grinding i've just explained above, but it only lasts for half a second to a second. This noise i can reproduce, but the mechanic at the dealership says it's normal...while the salesman who sold me the car (at the same dealership) recons it's not normal. Anyone hear this noise when they shift their truck from 2H to 4H?

The dealership's manager asked me to come again on monday (tomorrow) and he said he'll have the mechanic check it again. I'd like to get some input from other 2010 owners before i go back.

Thanks

I had a similar sound under high loads and after pounding around on the back bumper I discovered the plastic insert that surrounds the license plate area was vibrating/rattling/grinding.

I stuffed a few pieces of 1/2" thick closed cell foam in the cavities and haven't heard the noise since.

Hope this helps.
