Default PISSED... Water

So I leave for work this morning and I hear something "pour" on my seat. Long story short.... after looking I had a 2" deep puddle in my underseat storage compartment in the back. Apparently there has been an RRT for this but my truck didn't fall into the recall. I'm taking it in Friday for a fix and those suckers will find a way to dry out the back of my cab.

Keep an eye on those seats after a good rain.... check for water!

happened to me too, got mine fixed the same day. they said it was a bad seal on the back window. had to remove the whole back window and reseal it. took two days, no rental car.

mine wasn't soaked, water poured in when i broke the cab seal by opening the driver door - then the water poured in through the back window...

Lesson for everyone.... Have the dealer run your VIN for open RRTs. Dodge will not notify you of an RRT. But if you truck calls for one they will perform the fix no questions asked, all you have to do is ask.

If the clip were missing there would have been accidents by now, I used to put that clip on after installing the brake pedal on the B Vans. I checked mine seems okay and the dealer has no word yet of this in Canada.

Here is the Canadian Recall site http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/roadsafety/s...s-index-76.htm

Mine still doesn't have an RRT for this. She checked when I called. The lesson is even if you don't have an RRT for this you better keep an eye out during the rain.

Recalls are not the same as RRTs. A recall is only issued if it is a potential safety issue. Otherwise they will be a RRT and not show on those sites.

Mine is going in for a water leak Thursday. Wherever it is coming in, it is making its way to the back driver's-side corner and running down there. First time in 22 years of driving that I have ever had a leak.

The hood strut on my wife's 15,000 mile 2007 Grand Cherokee won't hold the hood up anymore. We both had Honda's previously--her's serves as the extra car now, with 127,000 miles and never a hitch until a leaking radiator last month.

I like my truck--I'm hoping that I won't be regretting my decision to ignore the quality reports that had Chrysler consistently near the bottom.
