Default Allignment and Steering

I posted awhile back that ever since I installed my Rough Country lift kit and had an allignment I found my truck swaying, what I forgot to post was that it pulls to the left no matter what side of the road I'm on. I took it back today and had another alignment done, they said it was out a bit. The shop said it was test drove and all was good. I drove the truck home and it is the same. Still drifting left even when on the right lane. It goes back tommorow but I'm just afraid they are going to tell me there is nothing wrong. Any help would be great.

Rotate the tires front to back. Once they are worn the will pull. Buy rotating them they should smooth out after 3-6000 miles.

I just purchased a 2010 slt 1500 trx 4by4 about two months ago and it seems to drift to the right always--not severe--but slight. I may go and let the dealership check it out tomorrow--just wondering if anybody else had this problem. (have about a 1000 miles on it now--17 inch tires)

Mine seems to pull to the left a bit. But it seems more sensitive on some roads than others, so I figure it might just be the large tires reacting to road crown or lane 'grooves'.

Crosswinds kill the tracking on this beast. 15 - 20 knots on a 400mile round trip this weekend. Very sensitive to the winds. For comparison, my '05 Dak would track straight as an arrow under those conditions.

In the old days that meant that caster adjustment was off. Don't know these days. Haven't had a front end alignment on any of my 3 prior dodge Daks since '93

What size tires and wheels do you have? I had the same issue on my 07 with 33X12.50 20's the cure is a steering stabilizer. Bds and Rough country both make them and they run about 125.00 i believe.

it could be alot of things1.check to make sure air pressure is even and correct2.ask the shop when was the last time the alignment rack was calibrated.they do get knocked out of spec.3.could be a tire pull which could be checked by swapping the tires left to right and seeing if it still pulls in the same direction or by road force balancing.4ask for a printout the alignment can be in spec but if there is .5 degree or greater difference in left to right readings that can cause a drift or pull.alot of techs wont adjust the caster and camber if theyre in spec even if they are at the high and low end of the spec theyll just toe and go which is adj the toe and send it out the door.5 ruts or grooves in the road from wear can cause drift.6.make sure shop has specs for 09-10 because the are a little different from 2008.7.crosswinds could cause some drift but they would have to be pretty steady and strong

I agree with everything however the road force balance depends on what tires and what size. Most bigger off road tires arent manufactured with the intention of the customer doing a road force balance. I'm sticking to the steering stabilizer assuming with the lift , bigger tires were added

I had the same problem, my truck pulled to the right slightly no matter what lane I was in. I swapped the tires and the problem was about 80% better, 8000 miles later and it doesn't pull at all. It has to be the large tires and the Goodyears.

Problem solved--local dealer aligned it for me and now it seems to be just fine. I asked if there were many trucks that needed aligned when this new and the answer was, no,---just my luck I guess.
