I used to have a dash squeak but when I took it apart to install my AllGig, it went away. I must have done something right.

Either that or you broke something and it is no longer tightly held to the other piece! All of my dash and console plastic parts were removed and acid dipped to look like carbon fiber. I have the black sport interior and it looks much better than the silver parts, but mine will sure squeak and rattle on a cold day.

I have never posted pics here before. Not much of a computer guy, but I do have a digital camera, LOL. I would be glad to do it, but would need some help.

Wow, it has been cold as heck here and well we have a couple little rattles when it's cold out but after the heat warms up the truck they disappear, and the ones that are there are so unnoticeable the noise from my coat sleeve rubbing on my coat is louder. Just turn the radio on they disappear and wait for nicer weather. Now if you have rattles in the summer then get to the dealer or if your 1 year warranty is gonna expire go there to be sure you have it reported so if it is not found now but maybe later it will be free!?
I had the dash apart twice to install radio and unconnect, and only because the dealer needed to see the installation because they could not figure out how to get the truck to accept the star scan for the uconnect, so I took it apart to save myself an hour labour. Anyway no rattles, only problem is when I grabbed the dash portion of the dash I used that area where there is nothing but a dim green light. Well when I grabbed in something made a cracking noise I figured a big ratlle now I probably broke something. Well that dim green light is now a clear brighter light, I knowed the lense off. It is repairable but I like the brighter light now you can see if something is in there. Luckily no rattles, found the little green piece of plastic on the floor days later.

I'm a mechanical engineer by trade and don't handle my stuff like a gorilla where I would carelessly break something. While I had it apart I did inspect everything I could see thoroughly to ensure that everything was tight and nothing was rubbing. Perhaps something was lightly touching or rubbing but I moved it during my inspection. Either way, I don't hear the noise any longer and I'm happy.

I have a squeak where the center dash panel meets the center console, drivers side. I currently have a folded up scrap of paper wedged between the two to keep them from contacting... Which works, but aggrivates me when I have to look at it. I can see that the center console isn't installed perfectly even because the gap between the center console and the center dash panel is larger on the passenger side and contacting on the drivers side. ( which is where my paper wedge had to go ) I'd like to just loosen up the center console and shift the whole thing a 1/8inch or so to keep it from contacting the center dash panel. I'm just not sure how to go about it. Can someone who has taken the console off already give a few pointers or pics on what I'm trying to do?
Thanks
