Default blown motor

Not having much luck with my Ram,pulled out of my driveway yesterday and heard alot of clanging then the engine shut down. The dealer says something let loose in the engine and now they have to replace the engine, only has 7200 kms.The tech said that is a rare thing and that they don't usually have problems with the 5.7.I sure am missing my truck already.

Well a complete changeover should not take long, I had an 84 S-10 engine blew the night before, I took to dealer and picked it up with new engine at 4:30. only problem were scratches on the firewall that it was already booked the following week in paint to get them touched up, was a lease and I didn't care but they said they had to fix it because it was a lease it would behoove be to let them cuz I might get blamed 5 years down the road. Anyway I let them fix it, Man I have no idea how they got in there and painted it so good, was better than the top of the hood LOL.

I hope they get you in and out fast....by the way which dealership are you at?

Did not the 5.7 or one of the HEMI's have an issue with valve springs breaking one year, maybe it was the 6.1 when it first came out?

Well I just got off the phone with Chrysler customer service and all I can say is they have lost a loyal customer ,unless there is a turn around in their attitude towards their obligations to their customers I will not be shopping their lots again.I have had a couple of major problems with my truck and all I can get from them is a take it or leave it attitude.it's too bad to because I really like the truck if they would only address their problems properly.

Its a shame, they really have a chance to legit. take alot customers from ford, chevy, toyota, and nissan right now and move ahead of the pack, and they are dropping the ball. problems are bound to happen but when you treat people right when this happens thats when you win people over, and word, blog follows to gain more folks into the fold, very simple concept lost on american companies.
