2 or 4 headlight system?
I was told this could not be done because the duals are not wired for quad lights, how did you manage this?
The install is actually pretty easy, but might take you longer than normal your first time.
There is a do it yourself thread out there with pictures and it helped me out. Made it go a lot smoother without the guessing... Just becareful with removing the front end and not to break any tabs or scratch your bumper.
If you know what you're doing, should take you 10mins or less.
The quads use the EXACT same plug the duals do, the high and low light plug into each other through an adapter, then the single plug just plugs into your stock one and voila! you now have the quad setup, everything works as there supposed to and looks great!
Except when they don't. I drove 3 hours today to purchase a SLT Quad with the BigHorn package. Quad headlights are part of the BigHorn package yet there it was a big horn truck with Big Horn badge and dual headlights.
I had the entire dealership back on their heals, took them over to another Big Horn and it had quad lights. They were on the phone with Chrysler about it, turned out the window sticker was missing like 6 of the Big Horn options, yet all those options were actually on the truck. The window sticker was whacked. Chrysler confirmed it should have had quad lights.
I asked them if they could swap in the quad lights out of the other truck, the service tech looked at both and said no it wasn't wired for the quads, that sounded fishy to me.

That's weird for the window sticker to be incorrect. Part of the PDI is to make sure the truck is equipped per what the window sticker states. Looks like the service dept also screwed up the PDI. I can't comment on whether or not the headlight swap will be plug and play as I haven't compared the headlights and connectors side by side.
I browsed litterally a few hundred truck window stickers over the last few weeks and notice quite a few discrepencies.
In any case Chrysler said it must have been a mis-build not having the correct headlights.
They switch stuff. When I bought my 2000 Dakota Quad SLT it was fairly expensive I could only afford it then because I got 0 percent...I have just purchased a new Neon for my wife. Anyway when I was pickingup the truck I was sitting in a chair facing the window and they backed the truck in and right away on the chrome bumper I notice a ding. So I mention it, they said do you have a few minutes we can get you one in stock and change it. Isaid go for it. So they did not move my truck they worked on it there since the service dept was closed and I was surprised they did not just say come back. Two guys came over with some tools took of the bumper. Came back with a nice shiney looking new one. I thought it was new as I drove away with my truck I noticed them installing a bumper on a similar truck as mine. We went home. It was buggin me so we waited till they closed drove over and looked at that truck they swapped bumpers cuz the dinged one was there. Guess they will try to pawn it off on someone less observant.
The adapter is on the back of the quads, it connects the two bulbs into a single plug to be plugged into the truck. You shouldn't have an issue swapping from quad to dual.
