Default Vibrations above 60 mph with Rough Country Leveling Kit

Installed the Rough Country Leveling Kit on my 09 Crew cab approx. 9,000 miles ago. I am starting to have wheel vibrations at and above 60 mph. Is this due to a problem with the leveling kit or possibly the tires?

Don't have a problem with it in 4 wheel drive, and I don't do any off roading with the truck.

Thanks for any info guys.

This has been discussed many times on here, however, there is still no concrete information on why this happens. Some people have the vibrations with a leveling kit some people don't. Some people have them without the kit as well. Seems like some trucks do, and some don't. For my truck has a leveling kit from RC, and I do not have any problems with about 11,000 miles on the kit.

Yeah I've been trying to read up on here about the problems they cause. Should I be concerned enough to take the kit off the truck? I would like for the dealership to take a look at the problem to see if anything is wearing wrong but scared that if I do then they will not cover it because of the kit. However I did go to them before I had the kit installed and the service manager said that it should be fine.

Seems like you should have it aligned if you put in one of those kits.

Take a look at this.......

Let there be NO CONFUSION, ReadyLift® Suspension Inc. is NOT affiliated in any way with Dodge, Jeep or Chrysler LLC or its trademark Brand Companies!

Due to a design issue with Dodge Ram front differential and suspension, some owners may experience a vibration in the front end when in 4x4 mode, or a violent shaking vibration of the front wheels when going over a bump at speed. These two symptoms are often called a "death wobble", but actually appear to be two different problems with the Ram truck.

The 4HI mode vibration is a vibration or shudder that occurs when accelerating in 4x4 high mode. This affects Dodge Ram 1500 non mega cabs; Dodge couldn't discover why their stock trucks would do this for some customers. The solution for Dodge was to state that there is no problem and that all of the new Rams will shudder or shake when in 4x4 high. This symptom appears isolated to 2006-2008 1500 non-Mega Cab model trucks and when in 4-hi mode.

The steering wobble or vibration has to do with the steering/ball joint equipment.
Dodge had released TSBs on this problem - Daimler Technical Service Bulletin # 22-005-06. This affects 1994-2008 Dodge Ram 1500MC/2500/3500 4x4's.
In either case, it has become apparent that raising or lifting the front of the Dodge Ram pickup may amplify these existing OEM problems. In some cases the symptoms exist on non-modified stock vehicles.

It is ReadyLift Suspension's position that if you have installed a 66-1090 or 66-1020 kit onto your Dodge Ram truck and experience either of the two symptoms mentioned, IMMEDIATELY HAVE THE LEVELING KIT REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE!

Sounds like the wheel shake, not the 4x4 vibration that most people are seeing after putting on spacer lifts. Might try balancing tires. Good luck.

Is the truck really have that much of a difference from front to back, looks almost level to me. My truck goes fast as you would ever want to without a wobble or shake. I am surprised because these HP tires usually suck. Well we should have a list of mods in a sticky made up and people can vote on whether or not they think it is worth it or not or even if they just either like it or not.
