i recently bought an 09 cc trx slt. we had 15 below 0 last week in upstate new york. the blower motor worked, the floor vents worked, but the defroster was not working. after letting my new toy run for about an hour the defroster finally began to work. has any one else had this problem?

Makes me wonder if there is some sort of issue with the doors that direct the hot air. On mine the defrost works well most of the time but I don't get much floor heat. Every once in a while I'll hear a woosh and all the sudden the floor heat is working better.

 

Hmm I thought there was a recall or something about this, they replace something in my truck related to the defroster last time I had my oil changed

 

tankit i think you are right about that problem being addressed some where. i am going to take the truck to the dealer next week, after all it is warranteed/guaranteed.

i also have problem with rear floor vents that are underneath the center console not blowing any air.

i love the truck, but for the $$$$$$$$$ it lacks in some ammenties. my 05 slt qc had power seats. i was surprised this rig didnt come with the bluetooth or power seats.

You could have gotten Uconnect(bluetooth) for a few hundred bucks but to add it now its more money, I added it cost 257 for the module and hundred for dealer to starscan. I installed it myself. As far as the $$$$$$$$$ you can't get what you got at GM or Ford. Gm will not budge a dollar when we went to look at a Cobalt for my son, I told them what I wanted to pay they said the price is the price..only because they were popular ya he said that. So I said okay one dollar less than what you want and we have a deal, he said no. I started rolling my chair out the door and was half out after he mumbled on the phone to someone he stopped me and said okay. I told him too late, will go get an employee discount and a lot of other discounts at Dodge. My son was bummed because he had to buy a Chrysler, that was our deal if we can get them to budge I would buy it. We got a great deal on an Avenger SXT, way more car, he is tall and say the leg room is less, kid forgets the power seat button works to solve that problem, helps keep you off the pedal, he got lucky and a cop let him off stunt driving, he didnt even have his full license yet. She came over to talk to me to be sure he told me he got caught she explained to me what I already knew. I did the same as a kid, I almost lost my license,my old man just said it's a privilege to drive remember that. Well now he has settled down, I should have gotten the 4 cylinder that 6 has too much power good thing its not the 3.5 would be worse. Now he drove our truck once. He wants to trade his car for a new Ram even the cheapest one as long as it has a Hemi...he won't know it but he will be buying one with 321 gears LOL and I will spring for 22 inch or bigger rims and get the biggest tires possible. He will love it till it doesn't jump out of the hole, he will want his avenger back. Would that not be cruel.

On the 09 Ram SLT, push the selector **** in ( the **** on the right ) There is a symbol that represents the defroster, it will light up,

If your air is coming from the dash vents this will open the windshild and side window vents and keep air coming from the dash.

And yes there is a service notice on the heat & AC controler.
