I thought if your truck was built before Dec. 08 no fuel saver light after that you had it and the ability to turn it off and on in the EVIC. Now this a year later man somebody here is mistaken....would really like to know who

I am just saying that before adding the predator i had no fuel saver light and no option to turn it on or off in my setup.. within minutes of adding the tune i noticed the light.. i wish i had drove my truck after updating it with the new crom and before i added the 87 tune.

I am hoping you have found an answer to one of the problems that most people were upset about and trying all kinds of stuff to get the fuel saver light and finally gave up. Now another possibility? LOL it would be cool to have now that I have driven on the highway a few times once a hundred miles at different speeds , with and without cruise just to see if I could see or feel a difference, I don't think I even have MDS but if not cool because I still get better mileage than I did with a smaller vehicle that had a slightly bigger engine(Durango) 5.9L 250 HP 392 gears. STrong truck with great torque but so bad on gas it's not funny. I tried a Sebring my son totalled it, then we leased a Charger 3.5L same as theSebring but it had a six speed tranny same drivetrain as the Crossfire. But alas I could not bear to be stuck in traffic because I could not see ahead so into the Ram we went.

No charger has a 6 speed trans. They are a 5 speed like what we have.

sorry, i said it's in the box next to the low fuel light but it's just to the right of the trip odo. I went back through my setup and i have the option to turn it on and off now.. i think all the 09's have the light but just don't have the updated software the newer trucks have.. maybe this weekend i will set it back to stock and see if i keep the saver light..

here is a picture of it.. just because i never knew where it was till today.

Yes I see my mistake it was the Sebring that had the 6 speed tranny. Both had the 3.5 HO but the Sebring was a rocket ship was told it had the same drivetrain as the Crossfire. I made one lease payment on it anyway, barely drove it.

Almost a year ago this whole topic was discussed. There is no update in the software, ask your dealer he will tell you. Then there was a myth that if you change out your guages it will be there? I don't know about that one, only heard it once.
Dead thread.

One guy here got his evic and gauges replaced and got the light. There's no use in asking the dealer about it, they wouldn't know about an update if there was one. I would be shocked if they knew what a fuel saver light was

I asked my dealership about the fuel saver light when i took it in for an oil change and they had no idea what i was talking about..
when i first connected the predator it told me i had to update the "truck". i had to download the crom from diablosport.com to the predator and then connect it to the dodge. first it updated the dodge which took what seemed like forever. after the update was complete i was able to download the tune. i don't know if it was the update or the tune that gave me the fuel saver light. after setting it back to stock i will be able to tell you if it was the tune or the update.,
