Default base stereo to REN

I was thinking going from my base to an REN I also have uconnect and sirus radio though, will the uconnect (mopar) work on an REN? is the tuner for the sat radio built in or is it a module? (its factory)

thanks

Open your glove box and pull in on the sides so it drops right open, I dont need to tell you take the junk out first, have a look on the right side on the inside you should see a black box with a wire going to it, might even have an ipod cord on it just not put thru the glove box yet. If it is there you can use it with the REN It should have part number 82211878 at least that is the Mopar number when you buy it after from the dealer. That box is the uconnect and voice recognition module, satellite is built into radio but if you dont have a sat antenna you need one. if you had sat before should plug in. You might wind up having to make a trip to the dealer to get the radio to see the module if your lucky you won't. Good luck

I recently upgrade to a REN(EBay) from a RES, the UConnect from the RES worked perfectly with the new unit. Easy plug and play, no problems whatsoever.
