Default Warranty?

Ok, so I was told my a member here that the 6" Superlift suspension won't void the factory warranty since the lift won an award from Chrysler at the SEMA auto show. However, I stopped by my dealership, and it is basically like all other lift issues, if it is not covered by the lift warranty, its not going to be covered by Dodge if it is due to the suspension lift. Any input or ideas?

Sounds about right. The lift itself would be covered by Superlift. Any problems caused by the lift wouldn't be covered by dodge.

^+2. Dodge covers the vehicle as is from the factory. Using non Dodge parts (oil filter for example) is ok as long as the filter meets or exceeds the manufactors standard (Dodge). If the lift caused another dodge part to fail, Dodge would not cover the dodge part.

so even though it received an award for design from Chrysler, that doesnt equal meet or exceed standard?

Might meet OEM standards, but they didn't manufactur it or sell it, so why the heck would they warranty it.

That is because it is a Mopar part sold by Dodge/Mopar. I imagine there are other parts on the vehicle that are made my a manufactor that sells them under a different name. (batteries, alternators, air filters, oil filters, nerf bars, etc.). Point is it isn't Mopar/Dodge brand part, they are not going to warrenty it

this might sound alittle stupid, but hey stupid is stupid does, ok if i were to put a leveling kit on my truck and lets say that the rear end goes out or drive shaft falls off the parts that are broke will be covered because it had nothing to do with the leveling kit. a aftermarket part only voids the parts inconjunction with the aftermarket part right?

Depends. If Dodge can prove that the lift caused the other part to fail. Then Dodge would not cover. If the rearend failed and it was determined the lift had no part in the failure, then yes Dodge would fix it.

It really depends on how cooperative your dealer is.
