Other wise it's terrestrial radio for me. I listen to both talk and music so the cheaper packages will not work for me.

In reality, satellite radio is a rip off when there is free radio. And its not the same as with TV. Not even close.

To bad they put the antenna on like they did. It's permanent right? If you take it off there is a hole under it I guess?
I like sat radio, I listen to talk radio and the ability to listen to the same station all across the country is nice. I have a couple iPods full of music but sometimes its nice to listen to a somewhat live person when you are driving. Plus the comedy channels are a good break once in a while.

All three of my former cars were on the 77.00 a month XM deal, its going to be hard to swallow the 156.00 plus 'fees' for a year for Sirius but I probably will, I hope they at least discount 2nd radios like XM. I didnt see anything on their website about it.

The antenna has a cable going to it so if you dont see the cable it has a hole.

Wow you guys get hosed over there, I renewed my Avenger for 102 for the year full package. It was a special and because my Ram has a factory membership. I put in a different radio a few months after I got it and the sat was working, still working , next month my original radio runs out, so they will be billing be but I am not gonna bother if this one is still working.

Sirrus and XM merged. Its SiriusXM now.

I too fought the worth it or not battle. XM called me and told me its was going to end x date. Gave me the price and I said no thanks at the time.
They called 3x, wrote twice and always the same price.

Starting listening to FM again. In my truck big loss of sound quality...not to mention commercials. I do not listen much to talk radio..well, not since Paul Harvey moved on.
Have an I pod too, but only so many songs and it cost to update. Sound quility is best off the I-pod or the trucks hard drive. In my opinion anyhow.

I ended up paying for two years...and yea the fees and Florida tax bugged the heck out of me, but for my listening pleasure SirrusXM was a must in my main vehicle. 245.00 plus plus for 2 years was the best offer I ever got. 5 offers, 4 turn downs...and it transers if you trade.

What bugged me was the fact my home stereo, my other car all cost 245 plus plus. All have to be a new seperate account. That is why I told them no 4x.

I have 8 months remaining on my initial sirius. If there is any way to transfer the service:

YOU CAN HAVE MINE FOR FU#%@ING FREE.

I use the traffic function a lot so took that one plus a customised package in which I get those channels that I actually listen to such as cnbc etc instead of the premium package that they advertise on their front page. If you dig deeper in their offerings you will see cheaper alternatives.

05dakkotaha,

Sirrus/XM told me the service would transfer to any vehicle. Just call.
One vehicle at a time. Told me it could be done at the dealership when the vehicle trade took place.

Cheers

Did not work. It was turned off this morning. I am not sure I will be able to go without it. Like said above, if you do a lot of driving you must have talk radio. All I can get for free is Rush Limbaugh. He makes me physically sick. So I now I have zero talk.

I like my MP3 player and have all the music I need and can refill it anytime for free. But music does get old after a while.
Thankfully its a low profile antenna.

I wish they did too. Maybe you would give me a good deal.

If you have to have talk radio, why not download some Podcasts?

I would of rather seen an HD radio in the truck.

you can listen to it on your computer so if you have kick *** speakers on your puter you can listen to it in the house. whatever your signin and password for your signon it what you use, click on listen online. only thing one person can only listen at a time. you get booted if someone else signs on another computer on your network. I am anticipating everyone has like 4 computers in their house like I do.
