when we did my drop kit we followed lances write up..

only thing we changed was we didnt use spring compressors.. we had a lift so we just lifter the truck high and pulled the springs out... for the front we took the brake caliber off... pretty easy install

I'm having a hard time deciding between the Deluxe and the economy Kit, I the the only difference is what is used to lower the front. Can you guys give any info on why you chose the Eco over the Deluxe? thanks Kyle

Redfox, I was wondering the same thing so I called McGaughy's and asked them what the difference is, here is what they told me. "When you use the spindle you do not change the geometry of the front end which in turn keeps the factory ride quality, The spring will make the truck ride a little rough and changes the geometry of the front end suspension". So with that said and a few price checks I would go with the spindle kit for the ride quality. The spindle kit's are about 200 dollar's more. Hope this help's a litle bit.

Just make sure to ask them what size wheels they have tested the drop spindles with. Sometimes a drop spindle wheel will cause clearance issues with smaller diameter rims (like 17's)

I am not worried about that, I am running 20's now. I have updated my signature.

I mainly chose the economy for two reasons:

1 - it was less expensive
2 - I could do it in my driveway myself.

With the spindles you are not only spending more in the cost of the item, but about 600-1000 more in installation... and the ride being rougher???? not sure I would agree with that. I do have less body roll in corners, but I still love the way it rides. Before I made that statement I would talk to a bunch of us that have used the springs up front and still have stock 20s to ride on. The ride is still very good, just more "sport" like.
