But I'll wait until the OE one shows up and see if it works, if not I'll eBay it.
The issue I see with mounting it in front of the cubby is that the wires and or the bottom of the unit will block the parking brake release. Mine is mounted to the left next to the console. I hit it with my leg all the time.

They were doing some work where I keep my car trailer today so I had to move it, took me 10 minutes to mount the P3 and I can take it out with no visible damage. Just a couple small holes on the top and one hole in the back of the cubby for the wires.

The parking brake release does hit it but you dont have to move it that far to release the brake. I'm 6' 4" and 230lbs and it clears my knee OK, I can hit it if I try, but I can pop the controller off the bracket and stuff the wires into the cubby and there is plenty of room then.

I'll still try the OE controller when it shows up.

Fits a bit better than I thought. Do you bump it getting in or out of the truck?

Not yet, and there is a ton of room if you just pop the controller off. I can deal with it when I'm towing easily.

I could also just take the two screws out of the side of the bracket and leave the small bracket attached. It will take about a minute to reattach it when I need it.

Thanks for that pic, makes me not so hesitant to drop $200 on the OEM version. The stock one just fits so much nicer and is tucked perfectly out of the way.

Yea, its a shame there really isnt a good place to put it on one of these, my old dmax I had it mounted under the radio in a large cubby, it looked great and it was out of the way of everything. I hate hanging things off the dash so hopefully the OE one will work fine.
