I asked the same thing about the Tow/Haul button and no one responded. I just figured that nobody has thought about trying it. Not that whatever the button does will stop me from buy a Superchips, it's just one of those things I was wondering about.

From my understanding in an previous thread, if you're gonna tow something, you press that button. What it does is it prevents your transmission from down shifting when under a load, it prevents the tranny from burning out.

When I had my Blackbear tune on my 08 Sierra I was told that the tow haul remained unchanged. I don't know if that carries over to the Dodge or not.

That still didn't work in my case.

1. When in the Mileage tune or 87 tune, I know you're not supposed to tow, but what exactly happens when you push the tow/haul button? I had a load of 20 bags of mulch and pushed the tow button and it felt like it was the stock tow tune.... Is this the case?

2. When in the tow tune, do I need to push the tow/haul button? Either way, what does pushing the button do? Revert to stock or is it also specially tuned in the tow tune?
When you push the Tow Haul button, it reverts back to a DCX created schedule for towing. If you're towing and meet the towing scenario in the service manual, I would use it.

The tuning doesn't change. Just the shift schedule.

Keep in mind, the tow/haul switch in the 09-10 Ram 1500 is a button under the radio, I think the pic that Sils posted is for a different year. I don't want anybody thinking they don't have the tow/haul option in their Ram if its not on their gear shifter, like I thought a couple months ago, lol lol.

Thanks for the answer Sil. So it only affects the shift schedule.

I plan on keeping it in the Tow program pretty much all summer, so as soon as we start hitting the lake, that's what I'll program it for.

Ok its been awhile since i posted on here. Prior to the release of the torque management and the shift schedule options I had a best time of 14.07 with a relatively stock quad cab 2 wheel drive truck with 3.55 gears and 17 inch wheels with the 93 tune and mds off. I just uploaded the new tune and set the torque management at 8% for all shifts except for 2p and 4th gear which i set at 1/2 of the stock values. I then loaded the new shift schedule that i got from Sil and let that all load into my truck.

I couldn't make any more 1/4 mile runs today because the local cops where everywhere, so i went out and played some on the highway. The truck now drives and shifts like a whole different truck. Much quicker and firm shifts both up and down.

Looking forward to a little more tweaking and then some time at the track to see just what this program has released out of these awesome new 09 Dodge Hemi's

Thanks for your report! Does this mean the new program is close to release?
