Default Updating REN

I was wondering if I can update my REN unit to the newest software version from the version that came from the factory?? Or do I need to do all of the updates one at a time until I get to the most current?

Thanks,
Kyle

Just so you know, I have done the update and shortly after began having strange problems with the unit. As in unable to adjust sound on only one setting (FM or Sat or HDD) & HDD just stopping all together, Sat not changing channels and same for FM. If I leave the truck shut off for an hr or so it works again.

NOT saying it's the update, but it did start happening just after. I haven't been able to get it to the dealer as by the time I could get there it starts working again and I know there's no way they will be able to do anything if it's not happening at that exact moment.

For all things "software" for the MyGigs, look to the Unofficial MyGig Site for both the downloads and the forum discussions of benefits and dangers and tricks...

Ya watch the 09 and 10 radio are different manufacturers now and well software updates could be different. Personally if you are not having problems and are not missing anything then leave well enough alone. Really. Why do people when new software comes out they have to have it. Alot of times the update is just for something maybe you don't even use, like say there is an ipod update and you dont have one, why boher taking the chance you may have issues later and getting updates from a website could get you into trouble, although the aforementioned site has been reliable. Just be careful anywhere else. If you want check what version you have on your radio chances are if you have a 2010 truck, you are up to date. Gracenotes is another update, its so when you put music on your hard drive it will recoginize and display the song title etc.

i've had 9.292 for several months with no issues. sure you've already tried this, but i would try re-downloading and re-burning the update then re-install. if no luck then revert to previous software.
also might want to keep your previous software updates for just such issues.
WHATEVER you do (imho), try your own fixes before visiting the dealership. my dealer knows little to nothing about the technical aspects of these mygig systems.

You have to be careful what updates you are using some are not for the mygig some are for the nav unit only. They are all different. 9.293 works great no hiccups. I don't have the disk it came with mine as I stated above.
