Default March Truck Month

Well it looks like my truck should be coming in today or tomorrow but I am wondering if I should wait to pick up until March? My dealer is telling me that I could loose the $1k bonus cash but I have heard some rumors about March being "truck month" and some good incentives. What say you and why?

Thanks!

I heard the same thing. I would call another dealer towards the very end of feb and ask them about truck month without mentioning you already bought one.

I am going to order one in March...Just a question for you, what date did you order and where do you live? Just trying to get an idea on build time.

I'm not sure you'll be able to find anyone that knows for sure what the incentives will be next month. Usually dealerships don't know until the 1st of the month. If you wait it will be a roll of the dice. You might be able to convince your dealer into throwing a little extra cash at you for purchasing it this month if they are behind on their quota. Nobody here has a crystal ball though. It would all just be info based on rumors and predictions.

Ordered Jan-15, it rolled out of the plant on Feb-10 and should be getting here today or tomorrow. It is a Deep Water Blue Sport Crew 4x4 with Leather, Nav, Backup Camera, 3.92 gears, 32 gal tank, tow package, Sport Premium Group (Backup sensors, dual zone climate control). I live in Detroit, and the truck was built in warren. So IMO 2 weeks to get it to me is quite excessive for the $900 I am paying for delivery.

Yeah, that is a little ridiculous you live right there and it takes them two weeks. Anyways, 5 weeks or so isn't bad for a build and deliver compared to the horror stories I have heard on 8 weeks plus.

I'm cool with 5-6 weeks delivery.

Love the sport. I'll be getting a blue sports as well, only in a quad not crew. Congrats on your new truck.

Another thing, I was told by every dealer I talked to that if the incentive changed while the truck was being built/delivered, I would get the better of the incentive. However, they didn't say anything about if the truck is sitting in their parking lot waiting for you to pick it up. I would think you would not get the incentive. I would think at the point they call you to come get your car, your locked in.

I would just go get your truck which I am sure you are dieing to drive and be happy.

You will get the better incentive. I got $500 more in Feb. then was being offered when I ordered in Jan. However this lasts until YOU TAKE DELIVERY, meaning until you sign the paperwork and drive off of the lot.

Another thing to take into consideration is that Warren builds up a quota of certain types of trucks and then runs them down the line in a big bunch. For instance, I know that Nav. and backup camera is on hold until 3/15 and my trruck just sqeeked by. So take that into consideration as well. A planned 6 week delivery can go to 10 weeks like nothing.

If that is the case, I would wait until Feb 28th and search the internet like mad for a news story on dodge or Chrysler incentives.

One dealer told me March is always truck month. So I searched last year's numbers for March and it showed some fantastic deals. Employee Pricing plus 2-6k off that. I seriously doubt employee pricing is cominng back anytime soon...but I would think that the incentives in March would be equal to or greater then Feb. Tough call though.

Good luck with your bad *** truck.

Why do I keep seeing commercials on TV for truck month being advertised as now. These are Detroit area channels.
