Default Noisy lifter on startup!

started up the truck twice today and both times had a few knocks or noisy dry lifters. after a sec or so the noise would quite down. i check the oil and it was about half way on the good range. i used kn oil filter and either valvoline or castro fully synthetic 5w-20. any idea or potential problem i know its a pushrod engine.

Filter issue,I had same thing happen on a WIX filter.Nothing being hurt by the noise but its a drain back issue with the filter.Kinda unusual also being that the filter hangs straight down and shouldn't be able to drain. But it does.

I use the FL820 filter also because of the design and material used in the backflow check valve, but in the vertical filter position, there should be no backflow issues.

Shouldn't be but there was with the WIX filter I used.Next filter change I went back with a factory and start up noise was gone immediately.Amsoil and Wix wanted the filter back for inspection as I had called them. Then I got lazy and tossed it in the trash.I had cold start lifter noise as soon as the WIX was used. Not so with whomevers the factory uses before and after the Wix.
