Exhaust recall?
so 200 some odd trucks built before August 09, is that all they built, mine was built in Oct 08 wonder if mine is involved.....no ticking but remote start just started to act up I believe the problem is my wife letting the gas get too low. She denies it but too much work to wheel chair out there and see. Don't personally care since I don't go anywhere by myself onlyin my 72 chev its outfitted for me to get the chair into the back vie hoist. When it gets warmer I will see if she is scamming me. I told her warranty on it will runout but we bought a year update warranty that covers lotsa stuff and NO deductible.

pretty sure yours is involved in the RRT also. mine was built August of 08 and mine is one of them. it seems like it is only some of the earlier built trucks, and i would say yours falls in this category.
Just had my '09 in for an oil change and they notified me of the RRT for the exhaust manifold bolts. I've had my truck 11 months, don't know the build date right off hand. Parts are back ordered so I don't know when it will be "fixed".
My truck started making the ticking sound about three weeks ago, and I am planning on taking it into the dealer this week. I thought it sounded like an exhaust leak because it is real loud upon cold start and almost completely goes away after warm up. I am glad there is an RRT to address this problem, hope my dealer can get it right the first time.
