Default 1st MOD

So I am a country boy raised city and this is my 1st Truck. I WILL NEVER DRIVE A CAR AGAIN! That being said Iam looking at intakes, exhausts, chips, bed covers, ect. The only mod so far was losing those stock tires for some 285 wild countrys. My goal (currently) is to improve MPG's. What is going to give me the most bang for my buck.

But it will increase performance so much that you won't be able to keep your right foot north of the floorboard so don't count on MPG increase.

No one on this forum has found any of the other mods that you mentioned to increase MPG much either.

I'm going to compress about 6 inches of high density foam under my gas pedal and see if that will increase MPG.

It's a gas engine.....Any affordable mod like chips, intakes, exhausts, etc. will give you a few horses and may get you a mpg if your lucky. Hardly worth the time, money, and risk voiding your warranty. There I said it...Flame me!

Well his is a 2010 and I thought the superchips was only ready for the 09's ATM. Like tom said you probably won't see much if any mpg gain out of the mods you listed, but if you want a CAI the volant is the best IMO.

It doesn't matter, and like I said in my last post I think the volant is the best intake. You should be able to find the intake for about $350 and it comes w/ a $90 air filter. For the exhaust I would find a good shop and buy a new y-pipe like a magnaflow and a magnaflow muffler which is at least 18" long and have them install them.

the SC programer for 2010 will be out shortly, you will get more options/power than wasting your money on a intake right now. my opinion is it's worth the wait. i'd buy it now and just dl the file when its avail.
