Default Another exhaust question

Does anyone know how much louder the Mufflex DOD24 is than the exhaust on a 09 Sport Crew Cab. I want a lil more rumble, but not too much. mainly worried about interior drone. Thanks.

you will be fine with the 24. they are slightly more aggressive than the stock muffler. I have the 18 and it is perfect for me. I have very little drone at 60mph...the wife has not complained yet so it passed that test. But it is considerably louder outside than it is inside...these trucks are well insulted for sound.

Honestly I suggest Magnaflow for you application. They are notorious for zero drone and the 24" is not significantly louder than stock, It just gives it a better tone. I like to say it just subtly reminds you the Hemi is under there.

I decided to put the 24 on mine and it is a sport model. What I like best is that it has no drone, slight increase in interior sound and a real nice rumble on the exterior. Easy install was a plus also. FWIW this was just what I was looking for to make the truck sound as good as it looks.

I am looking to do the exact same thing.. Probably gonna do the 24", I had a Tundra with the Magnaflow 18" full catback kit. That truck had a lot of interior drone, but then again it didn't have squat for insulation. The cab of the Tundra was really noisy compared to my Dodge..

Just curious.. Did any of you notice a change in the fuel economy when changing the muffler? I'm gonna do it anyway, I was just curious....

Roughly what is the cost you guys are paying for the 24? I am also looking at getting the system put on next week, but did not know how much the system was.

mufflex mufflers are magnaflows, just with the piping and hangers welded on so the are exact replacements for the oem mufflers, making for a simple driveway swap.
