Default Went to the dealer today... saw a red challenger r/t

Ive always wanted a challenger... i tried to get one before i got my ram. so when i went in today for my 15,000 mile lifetime warranty checkup i talked about maaaaaybe trading my truck in.

after 5 different people come talk to me about it.. including the finance guy and trade in guys.. they guesstimate my truck is worth $23,000.. with everything left on what i did to it.

they offered to knock 3 grand off the challenger to help sweeten the deal..

i guess they thought i didnt know that r/ts usually sticker for around 32k.. and they were selling a used one for 30k... cause they acted like that r/t was a good deal even at the price they listed it for. i didnt see a 32k car listed for 30k used with 17 thousand miles on it as good as a deal as they did

they kept talking to me and trying to do this and that.. but then i mentioned i could prolly sell my truck on ebay, craiglist or autotrader for $30 grand easy.. so them knocking off 3gs was nothing because i could sell my truck for 30... pay mine off for 22 and then walk in with 8gs..

apparently they still thought their deal was better.... i told them i want to talk to my wife over it and if they could do something better than call me.

i wanted 26k for mine and i take all my stuff off it.. lol.. wheels, intake, bed cover, bedrug and damn near anything else i could... they didnt like that idea.

but the good news is i did test drive the challenger again.. and fell out of love with it. It didnt even seem as quick as the ram. I know the ram is a lil more powerful than the chally stock.. but it weighs a lot more too... but after pushing the R/T around some corners i think my truck can take it.. even while wearing 24s lol

so.. the challenger dream is over... looks like ill be sticking with the ram after all for a good while...

onto the car shows this weekend and even more mods...

yeah they were hoping they could steal your truck and make some more on another deal, typical tactic, I would stay with the truck. Gonna get the wife a Challenger in a year or so, staying with my truck, need to pull the boat, also looking at the lifetime maxcare warranty at 1775, hope its a good deal (0% interest for 12 mo).

I almost got to run an orange R/T Challenger today but it wasn't safe. I also think my RAM could give one a good run and if I lose, hey I lost to a Hemi

Oh man there are 3 identical except one the difference is it is a stick,it has tinted windows. Now these aren't just R/T's they are SRT 8's totally loaded. Man I want one of those. They sticker at 53G here. I don't know if any incentives of employee prices count towards the SRT's I know they didn't before but sales are sales these days no? Does anyone know?

we have a few challenger r/ts here at our dodge dealership, a few months ago when i was 'thinking' about trading my dakota in for a ram, i went over and decided to go looking around the lot. they let me test drive the ram, im 17, thing hauled pretty good, i asked about the challenger, and he said no little man too much power for you.
like really? haha just because im 17 doesnt mean i cant drive a stick.

so i left and kept my truck

Dealers aren't too bright sometimes. They figure you are a dumb sap, and think they can get away with giving you a "great deal" on knocking a 3 or 4 grand off a 10 grand markup...
