I would put the 5.7 up against the GM 6.2 any day!! Even though the 6.2 is mated to a six speed, the 5.7 with five gears feels so much better to me. When I stomped the gas in the Denali, it took about 2 full seconds before anything happened, dangerous when getting on the freeway. I've read on the forums some people talking abt the tq management in the Ram........I suggest that those people go drive a 6.2, 6 speed GM vehicle. The 6.2 has more hp, more tq, and an extra gear, but feels like an unresponsive slug IMO.

I know, whats the use of all this power if its bogged down with slugish trannies and torque management? I think the limit of a gears in an auto while maintaning drivability is five, six gears is getting stupid and unneccesary. I enjoyed even the four speed with my 5.3. What ever I do get, tuner coming shortly after!

My buddy has a GM, not the 6.2 though, but the TM in that thing is crazy. You hit the gas and it seems to think about it and then decide if it wants to go. Then it starts to move kinda like my 13 year old in the morning. Once going it has all the power you need to pull something but sure takes it's sweet *** time getting there. The first ride he took in my truck, he said "Now this is what a truck should feel like. It's like an old muscle car off the line." and I have to agree with him. Not that an old muscle car is always that fast, but you can certainly feel the power from the Hemi that you can't in the GM. But at the end of the day, he can pull whatever I can, it's just different.

He is looking at a programmer to get rid of some TM and then we will have to compare again.

I just got back from the stealership and they've got to order another radio, and no, they can't download the songs from the harddrive to their StarScan tool - I'll lose everything on my harddrive, (at least that's what they told me, do you know any different?). I do have all the songs on my computer, but it's just a pain in the a$$ to copy them all to a flash drive and download them again.

I wonder if you take your old radio and get someone at a computer shop to recover them but I guess you still have to load them on to something then on the truck. I put cds in while we drive and just hit copy and it takes like 8 minutes per or less. How long does it take to move music from the thumb drive...like how many gigs and how long?

to the guy who says it slamms into gear when downshifting...its going from 4 to 8 cylinders at the same time as shifting that does it. this truck is sooooo awesome. accelerates like a fast car. stops on a dime. rated best for towing out of all 09 1\2 tons and i dont feel my 5000lb camper at all at 75 mph. awesome supertruck! dusted a mid 2000s trans am firebird thing. guys at work with gm 2500 and chevy 2500 diesel reluctantly admit hemi is way more responsve and powerful. but everyone thinks steering is tighter or less floaty drifty in chevy\gm
