I purchased the Bedrug at a local Dodge dealer. Call a dealer, if they don't have one in stock ask them to check the other dealers stock on their computer, that's how I found this one.

They list for like $395 with the embroidered Ram logo. Its real sewn embroiderey not some sticker. We have a 7% sales tax here so it should have been $422 but the dealer cut me a break on the price, I paid $391. This thing comes in a huge box, its not that heavy but most web sellers I checked charged for shipping, some charging the oversized charge even. At $391 an no shipping charges this was a decent deal to buy locally.

Word of warning on all these internet sellers, call them and make sure they actually have the item in stock AND ask them when it will ship very important. My line is, "do you have it in stock and if so, if I order it today when will it ship". Some will say they have it in stock when its really a distributor they are drop shipping from. I ran across reports of guys ordering stuff that was discounted pretty good but then had to wait 3-5 weeks before it arrived. I can't deal with that waiting crap, I want my stuff in a few days not a few weeks.

The Bedrug laughs in the general direction of rain, snow, gas, and oil. Here watch this video of them pouring acid on it. The Bedrug is made from the same plastic used to make cutting boards.

You said you had to cut slits for the tie downs. I would be woried about water getting under the bedrug. When it is installed can water get underneath? Otherwise it looks really good. I am thinking of getting one.

I think its safe to say water will probably get under the bedrug to some degree but there is ample air space under it for the water to drain naturally. Expecially in the areas of the tie downs, the bedrug is molded to fit the bed but its not a glove tight fit, there's plenty of air in the corners and along the front edge for water to drain.

Also the bedrug is very lightweight, its not like a heavy household carpet that would get soaked and weighted down trapping water. The bedrug won't absorb water (or anything else). They make water and chemical storage tanks out of the same plastic the bedrug is made from.

Thanks Coolidge! I just checked out the site and am pretty impressed. It looks like a big heavy rug but I have heard it is lightweight. I think my mind is made up!

My wife carried it in the house the day she went and picked our bedrug up at the dealer so no they are not heavy.
