Braking Questions
Anyone know the size of the brake rotors? I don't know where to find this out and couldn't find it on the website.
Is the Ram's stopping power on par with other full size trucks? That is one criticism I have read in a review that I didn't like. I can't remember the magazine but they said the Ram took noticeably longer to stop than the competition.

I was travelling on I95 at about 75 MPH and traffic slowed suddenly in front of me. I was completely unimpressed with the braking power in a panic stop. I've been reading the forums for a while and don't remember any complaints about the brakes.

Well how much of a panic stop, I have had to stop quickly several times since having my truck and I drive with hand controls, I am sure you can push the pedal harder than I can, I havent had and issue. Maybe you should take yours in there could be a problem.

If you want to see poor braking performance, look at the Ford Raptor. Car and Driver tests shows the '09 Ram Crew Cab 4x4 70-0 at 186 ft. The Raptor averaged 217 ft, with the worst at 228 ft. I'm sure those tires have a lot to do with it, but in a panic stop from 70mph, that extra ~35 ft may as well be a mile.
