Yeah I read that too, if you try to install 6x9's w/ large magnet/frames you will have to modify the door opening. I would look for some decent 2/3 way pioneers with shallow mounts. No need to go with monster high power 6x9's if I am going to run them off the factory deck.

The front speakers are not full range in the truck I think there is a crossover or something, the front speakers I hear are a sort of component deal now, so you can put some better component speaker and put the tweeter up in the dash or eliminate those and put the tweeter in the door within the 18 inches or whatever they say sounds good. This could be all BS info but it is from a tech at a dealership. Just food for thought. I thought there was a plug and play kicker system with speakers and an amp that just plugs in under the dash on the drivers side. and you can get a kicker amp and sub also plug and play supposedly the wires are back there already? Never looked yet. If anyone knows about the kicker plug and play setup chime in please. or PM me

I'm not an audiophile by any means, I just want a better sound and some thump. Sooo........anyone in the market for some Vibe Space 6's????? I'm sure they sound great w the right amp.

Hey jrtx,

How are you liking the Kicker upgrade? Was it truly plug in play like the descripion states?
