I had the same experience. They replaced the blower motor. I didn't even get out of the parking lot and the sound was still there. They said they would have to "roll the dash" and would need the truck for a whole day. I don't know if they actually had to or not, but it is fixed now. It was an electric actuator that controls air flow to the floor. They replaced it and all is well again. Email me if you have any questions.

MIne has that sound, on mine you put the middle **** in the middle, turn off all other sounds and tur the fan on low, ,it is the actuator, mine is the one directly behind the radio, it takes most of the day, dash removal. I havnt taken it in yet but I need to. No floor console makes it easier for them.

I have hear the same noise, if I have the blower on high and the temp on full heat with the floor position selected I can hear it. If I adjust the temp from full high to 3/4 high the sound will go away. I can also turn the blower down to 3 and it will go away or turn the vent position to anything other than floor and it will go away.

So after the helpful post I reserved here, I thought "I should email this forum post to my local dodge dealer, so he can fix my truck". So he could read what people have been saying and that would help them out (because they where not sure what the sound was).

They thought that was a good idea, and the mechanic could ready it.

So I emailed him the Link to this page. HE calls me back and says "I can't open your link". I thought ok, your network admin must be blocking emails with links in them, no big deal I'll just tell you how to get there over the phone. So I sent him to www.dodgeforum.com he got the header then BLOCKED page can't be displayed!

I was quite amazed that Dodge would block a site that is only about there product, and is probably the biggest Forum for dodge vehicles on the net.
I mean think of all the helpful info that is on this site and the mechanic there (like every mechanic) can use all the help they can get! So I ended up emailing them all the info from this forum post in text... lol

rudimentary software programs designed to prevent "blogging" at work probably responsible. most dealers will not have a designated IT dept to manage add-ons so you may need to continue cut and paste techniques to pass along info.
good luck, keep us in the loop

dont you love that? They don't even tell you or test drive it. My wife went to the dealer to have the uconnect I installed starscanned long story after a couple hours they charge her an hour and she leaves without reading the receipt. I said "customer complaining self installed uconnect not working" charged over 100 bucks. She spent the rest of the day there, anyway the fact they admit they couldn't fix it but they still charge. When they told me on the phone oh no problem takes half hour. It had to do with the RRT's they were doing at the same time, the dealer the next day figured it out right on closing time. All day they worked on it charged one hour.

So I just got it fixed (I hope). They had to "roll" the hole dash. I'll have to wait till the winter to realy test it, seeing as it only happens on full floor heat and is intermiten.

They said when I took it in that there where 3 "Rapid Response" things to do to it. One that I didn't see on our list on dodgeforum.com. So I PMed to add it to the list, but if you want to know what it is now, here is the one that was not on the list. It has notihing to do with the vent sound.

------------------------------
Rapid Response 09-084 Hood Switch
"Replaced hood adjar switch"
Part #0502611-AA
Description: Switch 08-058-060
Warranty

Mine is making a noise on occasion, but it does not sound like yours. Mine sounds like a groan. Hard to explain. Happens on AC and is coming from the dash vents. It has happened several times but a passenger noticed it a couple days ago and mentioned it. It's a little embarrassing to have a brand new truck 09- 9500 miles and have any issue.
My blower changes speed on it's own and the selector for floor, defrost and vents has a mind of its own. I have yet to get it in a position that I am trying to select.
