Default what component is this?

Under my passenger seat is a electrical box for something. It's not a power seat so it has nothing to do with that. I thought it might be an external amp for the stereo, but it doesn't kill the speakers when you pull the connector off it. Does anyone have any idea what it is or does? If it doesn't need to be in that exact spot, I need to relocate it so I can mount my amp under there, but I'm hesitant to mess around with something I know nothing about. Any info is appreciated

Do you have the 115 volt receptacle? I think it is under the seat, because when I turn mine on, there is a click from under the passenger seat area.

Yes, mine has a 110 volt converter...I'll have to unplug it and see if it affects the converter. However, the box under the seat has a plug with about 10 wires going into it, so it may be more than just the coverter...we'll see.

I haven't really explored my 09 much since getting it, but in my 99 that box controled the tension on the seat belts. If the box was turned upside down you could not pull any slack in the seat belt. I relocated mine with no problems since I mounted my sub under the middle section of the 40/20/40 seats. In the 99 it was mounted on a bracket off of the center section so I took it off and screwed it to the floor. Haven't had any problem with it. To test it you could unplug it and then try to pull your seat belts out. The 99's was there incase of roll over. Jeff.
