Default This **** any one else off?

Everytime i have my truck washed/waxed whatever... by the time i get home water streaks from the side mirrors and the bed caps leave water trail down the sides.

Even if they use compressed air to blow out the water.. i guess some always stays.

im ready to take off my side mirrors and silicone those ******** shut.

even the lid on the gate leaks... really annoying considering i was the truck ever week

Well, it does not **** me off. About an hour after washing I just wipe the mirror and cap drainage with a damp towel. The thrid GEN mirrors did the same thing.

As for the gate cap I do not have an issue with it. Possibly because I open my gate to dry off in the jams of the gate, then lift and wipe the water than ran out of the cap.

Not sure if silicone is a good idea. If some water were to get it then it would have a hard time getting out.

Nope. It's been run through the automatic car wash about 4 times since last May. It's a truck not a show car, it's dirty most of the time

We take it for a drive after drying it, sometimes I just take the compressor and blow out the water from the traps, but driving it for a few blocks works better then just as 94 says , I use a damp microfiber cloth and just go over the lines and crap. Then it's usually good to go.
I will tell you what pisses me off, you go to a a hand car wash pay 30 bucks and they don't clean the rims good they just spray the **** out of the tires and wheel wells with whatever type of tire shine they use, by the time you get home it is all down the side of the truck because they don't wipe it off at all and usually they are just finishing when you pick it up so the tires are dripping on the driveway.

Yes, just spend $20 at the car wash on Sunday to come home & have the streaks dried on. I will have to try to keep on top of it like 94rt10ohio I guess.

Well, I said the same thing about mine, sort of.... The dust shows on the Inferno Red within hours so I find myself saying I should have just got Brilliant Black.
