Default Hemi badge, 2010s

OK, ready to be confused?

As we know about March/April of 2009 the 09s switched from the Black and Chrome Hemi badge to the all "chrome" version.

The early 2010s also have this all chrome verision.

When I dropped off my truck for the lights Friday I walked the lot. They finally got a sport in stock in the past couple days... And what did it have on the side? A black and chrome Hemi badge. I looked at a few more and they were mixed. So it appears trucks that are just now hitting lots are back to the early 09 version of the badge.

Can anyone make up their mind @ Dodge?

Just part of the recycling program they started. They've been asking owners who remove the badges to mail them in

I think they are/were just using whatever they had kicking around. God only knows what is up.... Hell, I didn't get a plug I should have under the dash. Makes me wonder what else is missing that wasn't in the parts bin when they went to build my truck?

A lady at work has a 2010, same build date as mine 9/09 and I have straight HEMI and she has the 5.7 Litre under hers. Go figure.

There was speculation for a while that they'd moved to the all chrome HEMI badge so that they could add the 6.1 or 6.4 engine and not need a new badge. But, then toward the end here came a new wave of 2009s with the black & chrome badges. The 2010s seem to be mixed as well, but the black & chrome badges seem to be outnumbering the all chrome these days.

I was checking out the dealership the other day as well. I only saw two 2010s with the all chrome badge and they were both 1500s. I've yet to see a HD truck with the all chrome badges at all.

Why not just make it an option free of course and well most won't bother, that way it won't be something that makes your truck missing something in 25 years worth the same as any other. Personally I think a parts shortage may be causing all the vehicles that get a HEMI badge to be sharing parts. I know when I worked in the Bvan plant there were times when some light duty parts were unavailable so they would put the next rear end up or what ever it was and the person would not be charged. It would also not be on the window sticker too but would be on the build sheet and in the computer so that when you go to the dealer they know what's in that truck. Of course sometimes you would have to contact the customer...since engine shortages were common when they first changed over to the newer style pickup I guess in 98 or whenever it was they got popular so we suffered, we were last to get drivetrain parts since I guess they wanted the pickup to get popular? So we would put a 360 into a customers van who wanted a 318....that required the customers approval. Upgrades like chrome bumpers or something we didn't contact them. Most were happy to get something more for their money.
Anyway does anyone know what all the badges look like for the other cars that use the HEMI? Could I be right? I have know idea what mine looks like its not here, let me look at a picture hmm Chrome with black HEMI and 5.7 Liter below, I should complain it is spelled wrong Litre in Canada.LOL or that might just be french, they would have to make spanish for the US.

Mine's all chrome and would rather have the black and chrome. It doesn't matter though all the badges are coming off soon anyway.
