I would try this. It works for the RER Nav stereo for the problem you have. They changed the way the iPod's charge, so this should fix your problem.
Its easier to buy the right mopar cable for the same money, problem with the Scosche is it doesnt lock into the ipod and it can fall out. It does work though, I have the Scosche adapter in my boat but it falls out of the ipod pretty often.

Dont count on it cuz the dealer would have to eat that cost and well they don't do that much?

There are other people that make that adapter. I had one and it stays together just fine. On e bay, cablejive etc..
