Default Fog in my drivers side headlight?

Has anybody else had steam/condensation in their headlight assemblies? Is this something to call the dealer/service manager about??

2009 1500 Hemi SLT no mods.

Thanks,

Dave Petrella

Take it in and have it replaced or at least have them fix the leak. My wife's truck had that problem with a tail light and it was fixed under warranty. I have seen headlights do the same as yours and through the years the chrome inside the light starts to flake off and bulbs burn out more often.

This is the first vehicle I have not had to have a headlight replaced for leaks. Knock wood.
That is a warranty item, now if they bill for a new headlight check and see if you got a new headlight or they just put some sealer all around and billed Chrysler for a headlight.. That is wrong and the dealer should not do that, its part of the reason stuff costs so much and it's fraud. You are not supposed to touch the bulb part when changing it due to oil on your fingers caused potentially early burnout. So I wonder if water would do the same?

Free fix (if you have less than 36K miles). Just take it in.

Note, they will probably not stock a head light so you will have to make two trips. Although the first one should just be a service manager/scheduler to say, yes, we will fix that.

I bought the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty at purchase, and I only have 5500 miles on it. I'm gonna call tomorrow.

Thanks guys,

Dave

Mine do the same thing but my back covers are off due to my HIDs. They dry up so fast it's crazy. Not a problem for me.

If they fog and under warranty take it back to get it fixed, only right thing to do, they owe it to you.

Mine just started to do it too...Not too bad though...they clear up fast. Just started, not sure if it is the drastic change in temp all of the sudden while washing or what?
If it keeps it up, they will be replaced under warranty.

not sure but I don't think those are covered under lifetime bumper to bumper, if i remember reading right, plastic peices are not, basically from what i know or remember, if it is mechanical or electrical it is covered (minus brakes (pads) maybe rotors, tune ups (your basic services) and body parts

worth looking into and I could be incorrect
