Default Seatbelt "dinging"????

On other vehicles I've had in the past the seatbelt chime stops after a few seconds, but not on dodges. Does anyone have a DIY to get rid of it?

With the ignition off, buckle your seatbelt. Then start the engine and wait for the seatbelt light to turn off. Within a minute of starting the truck, buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 3 times within 10 seconds ending with the belt buckled.

There you go, that should turn the ding off. I only did this for driving short distances in a parking lot or off roading. Please buckle up on the road

Please do tell how you disabled it. I am so sick of the dinging I am about to rip out my dash and remove the speaker is there an easier trick? I have never owned a vehicle with a seatbelt ding that didn't go away after a minute. I don't know who's bright idea at Dodge it was to have a never ending seatbelt ding, but I would like to see them jobless.

The easiest way is to put on your damn seatbelt. Dinging stops and you end up safer.... oh no!!! The horror!!! The horror!!!!

I feel much safer in parking lots and offroad without my seatbelt, I can turn my head and lean forward quickly if need be to see a small obstacle. Personal prefrence, I always wear it on the street though.

It shows how to dismantle it in the owners manual. I did it to mine as well but I always buckle up.

I appreciate people's sarcastic comments on my thread. Some people have no CONSTRUCTIVE responses so they just put retarded comments. Thanks to the guys who actually posted what I was looking for. I didn't realize it would be in the owner's manual. When i had my tundra, it wasn't in the owner's manual. Thanks man.
