Two new RRTs out.
The NEW bolts for manifolds are a higher grade and stainless.Had mine done yesterday. Cylinders 7 and 8.Manifolds warping.Thats NOT uncommon on many different product lines.
I called to see if the manifold rrt pertained to my truck since I have no ticking noise etc. coming from mine. I was worried since it was a year on the 27th of March. So warranty was my issue, and question. RRT's are done more or less the same as recalls. But TSB's are only done if the customer complains about the issue, one of those things that does not matter if it is fixed really nothing wrong most often cosmetic of just a rattle under the dash. Safety recalls are different they are supposed to be done and not at your cost. Anyway I was worried that if I didn't have the bolts changed before one year I might have to pay. In Canada you have 3 years or 60000 km's to get the RRT's done unless of course they drive you nuts. I just don't like fixing things that aren't broke. Ihave no noise from my engine, not HEMI noises like some do...so I go get the bolts replaced and I just know I will start having issues. Never fails. I will wait a few months then they will probably have quick ways to fix even if they break the bolt by then. Has no one ever heard of EZ out broken bolt removers. They are harder to use on hardened bolts I supposed but from the sounds of it these are not. I imagine heating them before removing might prevent breakage?
So what would you guys recommend if I don't seem to have that noise and even in the coldest days last winter...nice and quiet except for the noise plastic till the temp inside warms up, but that is everycar, you show me one that does not make some noises in cold temps and I will buy it and call you a liar. Should I bother to fix it or wait closer to 3 years and see if I have the problem. We only have 9000 KMs or just over 5000 miles in one year so its not like it's driven a lot but if I was gonna have the problem I would have it by now since the truck is used for short runs mainly, like my wife was only driving 2 miles to work which did not even give it time to warm up right, she starting picking up a friend that added a good 5 miles to the trip which I find fantastic , good enough to warm it up, since they hit a Tim Hortons drivethru that usually has a line up of a million cars so it gets to idle in drive...that will warm it up LOL waste the trans too.
Oh I guess since it is so young and low miles I might as well let them fix it so it does not become a major overhaul.
I have another question but I will make a new thread.

I didn't have a noise either.BUT I didn't want a noise after a stud/bolt broke off which is common on exhaust manifolds. Then if it breaks flush it has to be drilled out and such.Be proactive.Chrysler is.
