Help removing Chrome trim ring around center console?
I can't take the glare anymore! Dumbest idea ever....the sun reflects into your eyes no matter where you move to!
Anyway....Want to paint the chrome square trim ring around the center console shifter....Flat Black...but I can't figure out how to get it off and don't wanna break it!
Anybody have any tricks to pass along?

just carefully pry it a bit at a time using a nylon or strong plastic pry tool.I f you break it you can glue it since you are painting it. So don't worry so much it actually comes off easier than you think
