Default Lift/ Wheels and Tires

Well maybe looking into getting a lift and some wheels and tires. need help though. i am looking at this lift kit http://www.roughcountry.com/suspensi...500-ram_2.html

what i want to know is does anyone have this kit and if so how is it??

Also would like to know what size wheels and what size tires i would need to get. 33x12.50 is reccomended by the lift kits specs, which works for me but what size wheels will i need if i got that size tire?

Sorry pretty new at this wheel/tire and lift stuff....any help greatly appreciated..

i would love my truck to look something like this....

It's a very broad question so i will try to answer what i think you're asking without getting to in-depth. You can ask me further questions if you have...

A 12.50 wide tire mounts best to a 9 wide rim. So a 17x9, 18x9, 20x9, etc....But an 8.0, 8.5, 10, etc will also suffice.. As you go wider or narrower you're backspacing and offset will change accordingly..

You are viewing a bolt on suspension leveling kit and the picture you are viewing is a 6" suspension kit sitting on what looks like to be 35x12.50x(18 or 20) XD monsters (hard to tell with the angle shots)

To get a nice offroad look you would want a 33x12.50x(17 or 18) on an (17 or 18)x9 although you can probably fit a 35x12.50 just fine... NO more than a 4.5" backspacing with 0 or less offset

My opinion and of course there are MANY more options...Posting what rims/tires you want with which lift you're going with will be beneficial before making a purchase

^^ thanks for the reply...

i am looking at the 2.5 inch rough country kit, i just want a higher ride and more offroad look.....i dont need the 6 inch lift like the picture sorry if that confused you...

i was looking at a few different wheels... xd series most likely though...

so your saying if i go with the rough country kit, and tires that are 33x12.50x17, the wheels that would work best would be 17x9???

With the leveling kit go 20x9 with 35x12.5. Many of the members here run this set-up. If you go 33s you will wish you went bigger later. Keep your offset at 19 without a suspension lift. This will be easier on your joints. Xd wheels are great. Many of the styles are not available for rams now. I was told by kmc they stopped making our bolt pattern. You will be limitted to monsters, addicts, spys. These are all good choices. Check wheelfire.com. Good prices you can negotiate.

Depends on your preference, do you like rubber or wheel? Personally i would go 35x12.50x(17 or 18) but that's because i'm not into big rims..your choice though (smaller rims are cheaper and tires made for smaller rims are cheaper)
