Total Lifetime Coverage VS Chrysler Survival
I purchased the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty to go with the free lifetime powertrain warranty. I paid $1600 for it. What do ya's think? Good idea? I was wondering about the whole "lifetime" thing... as it's not looking all that great fro Chrysler/Fiat. They have a 50/50 chance of survival at this point.
I think it's worth it for piece of mind.
Nice bike. I ride myself... but only track these days.
Here's my 600rr.

If you do the math a MyGig replacement and a water pump or A/C compressor and you're already on top. If not, you did your part to help save a formerly great American car company... Extended warranties are always a roll of the dice so who knows.
I bought a lifetime max care to go with my powertrain warranty too. I paid more than you, but it was still worth it to me since I plan on keeping this truck for a loooooong time.

So, if the economy doesn't improve greatly for starters.... Chrysler will fail. I hate saying it but it's partly why I left. The truck came with the buyout. I did have to pay $5K out of pocket but that was it.
I love dodge. My first truck was a ford f150, second Chevy z71, s-10, and suburban. Since then Ive had 5 dodge rams. Im driving a 2010 now. I did an extended, first time. I have 84 month/100,000mile paid 1450.00. Known my luck Ill get rid of it after three years, like the others.
Ha ha, piece of mind huh...they'll be picking up the pieces of your mind when you loose it taking corners like that on that thing, lol! All it's gonna take is one little pebble or object on the road..and bam! You're crazy!!!

they make the best product in a few segments, the question is in what manner will they survive....i think the warranty is going to be good, at least I hope, I paid 1500 for the maxcare lifetime.
After initially buying the warranty, I started reading the terms and I didn't like them. So after thinking about it, and the fact that they get my money for 3 years before the warranty comes into effect, I canceled it. Most financial advisers tell you that extended warranties are a waste of money unless you keep the vehicle about 10 years.
I rolled the dice and figured that the lifetime power-train warranty would cover the big expenses and that whatever else went wrong in the future, I cold cover with the money I saved.
I have heard from others that the warranties are really hard to collect on. Read the fine print, if your car breaks down somewhere, you have to call them and jump through hoops before you get the truck repairs authorized and if you screw up, they have a reason to not honor the warranty.
It is just a matter of comfort. Some people prefer the feeling of having the extra coverage.
