Size: 145.9 KBI was in the market for an exhaust system for my 09 Laramie and couldn't really find something that suited my taste. Myn friend has the Mufflex DOD14M installed on his truck and I just found it to be too docile for me.

I called up Mufflex (spoke to Denny) and asked him if it would be possible to create a y pipe type muffler delete for our trucks. From reading previous posts, I knew that there would be an interest as some guys did not find the DOD14M loud enough. Next thing you know, I have a Y pipe shipped to me within 5 days.

It was a perfect fit when it came to the install. Here are some pics. A video is to follow hopefull before the end of this weekend.

I got to say that................I LOVE IT! It's just loud enough and it's surprisingly tame in the cabin. Not much for drone. Even my GF likes it and she would of told me if it was too loud!

Thats awesome! I've been waiting for mufflex to come out with this ever since a vendor on DT said they were coming out with a muffler delete.

Are the resonators still on? Any power loss due to reduced back pressure? Notice any MPG change?

Thanks

The resonators are still on. There is a little drop in low end torque/but a significant gain on the top and I haven't noticed a gas drop or gain as of yet.

I will try to post a Vid sometime tomorrow!

I can see by the use of steel wool, Mufflex is still using a inferior clamp, finally got tired of #%^&@# around with it and installed a Corsa instead. Will put on You-Tube

There was a little gap on the drivers side exhaust tube. I didn't have a chance to trim the wool yet..must admit it looks a bit tacky. The passenger side clamp and the one that goes on the actual exhaust are holding as tight as I put them on.
