drivetrain problems...one after another :(
I purchased three new 93-94 Chevy Astro Vans, one new 94 and one new 98 Chevy truck, all gave me rentals during a problem....even brought the rental to me and picked up mine if needed. And all dealerships honored the warranties no matter where you bought them...at least back then they did. This is my first new truck since and when I or if I ever bring my truck in to a different dealer than that where I purchased it and they don't accept it...there's going to be a war! So what if you are out of town on a trip and your truck breaks down...because you didn't buy it there the local dealer doesn't have to fix it...bull$^#t! You should be able to bring your truck to any Dodge dealership and Dodge should be responsible for the rented vehicle IMO. If I ever find out any different...this will be the last Dodge I will ever buy... ever! I don't care how they look or how they run! I'm getting tired of hearing these dishonorable warranty service issues about our trucks.
Loaners is NOT part of a standard warranty. It COST the dealer big bucks every time they EAT a rental.NOW lets talk about your THUD after stopping. Its called BUMP STOP.Its because the RPMS dropped to 500 really fast on a quick stop.Sometimes RPMS will hold at 650 and other times it drops to 500 when no accessories are on.Your truck needs the latest/greatest FLASH UPDATE thats out.It addresses IDLE quality and TRANS shift quality etc.It just about stopped the BUMP stop in mine.
most dealers have loaner cars that have a dealer plate or a permanent plate on them that are for loaning to customers, usually a cheap used car, no rental fees to pay. Just got one after finding a paint flaw on the tailgate... can't say i like driving a PT cruiser but it beats no car while they fix it. After spending $30k on a truck, customer deserves a car if there is a problem under warranty, just have to ask for it.
again, dodge is under no obligation to provide courtesy transportation for repairs performed under warranty unless you purchased Maxcare (as cheap as $535). some Dealerships will provide courtesy transportation but it is done on their nickel.
also, you can take your truck to ANY DCJ dealership to obtain warranty service.

I have not known a dealer to LOAN anything of their own in several years. They call ENTERPRISE.The damage their own inventory took was way to costly. In the greater Atlanta and surrounding areas that LOANER car thing went away a number of years ago.Now its someone else's RENTAL with all proper paperwork filled out.Its also paid for by either the manufacture or charged to a dept and comes directly out of gross profit. If YOU owned a dealer YOU wouldn't want to LOAN your cars out or have then brought back wrecked and no insurance or big deductibles.Plus they are a HEADACHE to deal with and take up a lot of time in the day.I came up in dealers when even a EMPLOYEE could not use a dealer owned auto because of the cost, headache, damage and so on.All those cars on the lot belonged to the people whose name was in the lights above that business. Not employees or any one else.

I believe you Hounddog but I still stand firm with if the dealer doesn't provide me with transportation when and if the truck ever breaks down I'm gonna complain, lol! My local Chevy dealership still provides customers with transportation whether it's simply their own courtesy or VIP customers what I don't know. I feel that they should at least provide a rental...that's my opinion!
when your washer (if it is new and under warranty breaks and they are fixing it) do you expect a loaner there too?
Loaners are nice but not manditory. and if you think they are free, you are fooling yourself, nothing is free that stuff is passed to us the buyers.

I worked once for a dealer that bought a Pontiac franchise that was going under.Once purchased all employees were unhorsed from demos. All LOANERS were curtailed. This in he first 24 hours. All the FREEBIE things that were done for customers was scrutinized and discussed before ANYTHING was given etc. After purchasing the going under dealer new owner had a meeting. He said this store was the HIGHEST in CSI(customer service)in this district. We don't want to totally stop that but we are here to make money and can not operate in the red. That store maintained a decent CSI rating(not great) in the future and not ONE month in the red.Never a demo nor Loaners. This was a big store,50 plus techs etc.
